We took the boys to get their haircut today. I just wanted to post because I think they both look so dang adorable! We go to Cookie Cutters and I just love it. They do such a good job! This was Calvin's second haircut ever and he did so good. He even got a sucker (his very first sucker in his life!) They are so cute! Love my boys!

Timp Half
WOOHOO! I finished my 3rd half marathon! It was a LOT of fun! I know it sounds crazy, but seriously it was. Races are so addicting and I already want to do another one! I am super happy that I finished it a lot faster than I originally thought I would. I was anticipating between 2 hrs 15 min to 2.5 hours but I crossed the finish line at 2:01!!!! :) That is a 9:10 pace!! Love it! My mom and my neighbor ran it too so it was a lot of fun to have them there as well. Here is me and my mummy after our 13.1 miles!!! My sweet husband and kids were there at the finish line as well! I love my family!

Playin in the Gutter
One of the screens that filters our water for Saratoga Springs broke and since we live at the bottom of the pipe, they had to open the fire hydrants to clear out the water. We, being the good parents we are, let our kids play in the gutter and take a break from the heat! It was actually a lot of fun!
haha! I don't think Cal liked it at first, but then he warmed up to it! :)

Obedience
I have a few new posts so keep scrolling...
This particular post is religious related. I am not a super spiritual person but this is just some of my thoughts and feelings today and I want to share.
Fitness and Exercise and Health are such a big part of my life. Every day I chase after my boys, I teach aerobics, I am training for a half marathon. All these things help make up who I am and play such a big role in my life.
Today at church we were talking about Obedience. The teacher asked us to think of a time when we were obedient and how it changed our lives. I didn't share with the class, because I feel it a little too personal but I feel like I need to write it down.
In high school and a little after, I really struggled with certain areas of the church. One of them, the Word of Wisdom. At that time I had gained some weight and was just getting into working out and being healthy. I remember praying one night for help. I was asking for help to know what things I should do to help me lose weight and be healthier (I know it sounds silly, but I really was struggling with a lot of things in my life then). I got the strongest confirmation telling me "If you Obey the Word of Wisdom, I will bless you with good health" The scripture came to my mind "I the Lord am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise" (D&C 82:10). That night I made a vow to test it out, I stopped doing anything that was against the word of wisdom and since that night long ago, I haven't touched alcohol or anything of that nature.
Fast forward to today, by simply obeying that simple commandment, I have a healthy and happy life, my life revolves around the Word of Wisdom and my obedience to it. Eat healthy, workout, stay away from harmful substances. I can not believe how blessed I am now. I can walk and not be weary, I can run and not be faint. I have run 2 half marathons and will run another in 2 weeks, I teach aerobics almost everyday, I run, I can chase around my kids and feel good. I am so thankful for the chance that I have to be obedient and the many blessing that have come from it.

July 4th
We had our annual neighborhood 4th of July party! It was fun. Too bad it rained a little making it hot and muggy. We set out our grills and everyone just brings their own meat and side to share. Literally EVERYONE, including myself, brought Watermelon! haha. We had soooo much but I guess better too much Watermelon than something unhealthy like candy or cookies ;)

Heber Creeper
We went with Jill and Adam and their kids up to Heber to go on the Heber Creeper train! Owen and Tate both love trains so much and had a lot of fun on the train! They even stopped and had some bad guys jump on the train with pretend guns looking for the money chest. Owen started crying because he didn't want them to shoot him. Luckily, they told him they don't take or hurt the little kids and even gave him some candy. It was actually pretty funny.
