Dance, Dance, Dance

One of my friends got married and had his reception at La Caille. It was so much fun and me and my friends danced the night away. Unfortunately for me, I wore the tallest, yellowest, pointiest stilleto shoes I could find and ended up with blisters and sore knees! Oh well...Worth it!!

Race for the Cure

On Saturday, May 10 I ran the Race for the Cure 5k run in downtown Salt Lake. It was fun and a good race to get me started back into running races again. I didn't look at the clock though so I don't know what I ran it in, but thats ok, it's probably best I didn't see my time. I did run the entire time though! I can't wait to run another half marathon and possible marathon too in the near future.
During the race I saw so many people there doing it for a loved one. I saw old and young people, kids even, women with strollers, and everyone in between. It was really neat to see everyone running for a reason, not just to run a half marathon or try and beat their time, but to actually run for a cause. Some people had shirts made that said "in loving memory of..." or "save the ta-ta's" or even "big or small we save em all! save the manboobs!" It was so fun to see all the pink papers attached to everyone's back that said "in memory of.." or "in celebration of.." Which brings me to why I ran it. My own grandmother, Pearl Holdaway, had breast cancer, and overcame it in 2001. I am so thankful that I live in a day and age where technology is so great and medicine is constantly being updated and we have the ability to research and try to cure so many diseases and problems that we are being faced with. So this race was in Celebration of you Grandma Pearl! I love you!

More Pictures from the Blessing

Owen is SO Handsome!!!
Owen and Andi, Owens cute cousin on Lee's side of the fam. The only 2 grandchildren (so far)

What a wonderful Weekend

All of us at Lee's Graduation
The blessing on Sunday...isn't he handsome!?
Graduate 2008! WOO WOO
At the Real Game!

We had a pretty crazy weekend! On Saturday morning we went up to Logan for Lee's GRADUATION!! Yea! He is a college graduate with a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He is so smart and wonderful and I am so proud of him! After the graduation we went out to lunch with our families and then later on went to the Salt Lake Real game with Owen. It was crazy! Parking was out of control and we ended up parking like 2 miles away from the stadium and had to carry Owen in his car seat to the stadium. By the time we got there with the cheering loud crowd, Owen was going nuts and hungry so I took him and fed him in a bathroom stall and said enough is enough I am going home. We were there probably for a half hour total but it was still fun. We were in pretty good seats that were right behind the goal post so I got to see David Beckham!
Sunday we blessed our little man in our church. It was so good. Lee did such a good job! We had so many friends and family come. At our luncheon afterwards there were probably like 50 people there! I am so thankful for all our family and friends! So thanks for all your love and support!

Living with the Parentals

Well we have finally moved out of Logan and into my parents house. We are using my brothers room and he will be in the basement. We have quite the full house. Mom, Dad, Lee, Owen and I, my little sister Cheryl and our foreign exchange student Ivette, and my brother Kyle is moving in tomorrow. It hasn't been bad at all. I feel bad that I am taking up so much space for Owen and all his things. It is amazing how many things a baby needs. But I try to keep out of the way. It isn't bad though. I just really like having my own place and I can't wait to move. Things are moving right along and we should be closing on the 28th of May. I am really really excited. It will be nice to actually own our own place and be on our own again. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and don't mind this situation, but it is just nice to be on your own.
Oh and I might be starting a TurboKick class at the South Jordan Rec center. I hope so! I talked to the guy in charge of the classes and he wants me to email him something with my dates and times I can teach and they will see if they can write up a contract. I am so excited! I love TK! Well that is it for my little update, this sunday we bless Owen so I will post pictures after that!
