GOTCHA!

Today I decided to have a little fun with one of my friends who is a receptionist at a Dental office. Here is our conversation:

Shae: Good Morning, Dr. So and So's office, this is Shaelynn, can I help you?
Me: Yea, I have a rotten tooth and I pulled it out.
Shae: You pulled it out? Are you a patient of ours?
me: Yes
Shae: What is your name?
Me: Lucy. It's black and rotten and I am holding it in my hand.
Shae: What is your last name?
Me: Gonzalez
silence
me: I tried to glue it back in.
Shae: And you are a patient of ours?
me: Yea, I tried to glue it back in and now there is glue all over my mouth.
silence...
At this point I could not hold it in any longer! I busted up and she said "is this Melanie?" I just died laughing and she started laughing too! It was so funny! Thanks Shae for being so good-hearted to this poor Lucy Gonzalez and her glue filled mouth! HAHA! :)

I finally got some pics of Owens room (rest of the house is on its way, sorry it is taking me a long time to unpack and clean up!) anyways we still have a little decorating to do but this is what we got so far! Grandpa Hardy made Owen the prettiest crib ever so Owen just started sleeping in his room all by himself. Thanks Grandpa, we love it!! It is kinda sad having him leave us, but also kinda nice that Lee and I are free at nights again! :)

Sam and Sarah's wedding

My cousin Sarah got married on Thursday, June 12. It was so pretty, her dress was pretty and it was a happy day! Congratulation Sam and Sarah Harmon! I love you!

Thing that must go...

Walmart! Or should I say, Walmart shoppers. Let me explain! As everyone knows, we just bought our first house (don't worry pics are on the way once we get settled!) anyways, whenever you move you always end up needing random odd and end things here and there. Well the other day I realized I needed more hangers and that rubber stuff you put in the cupboards and under rugs to keep things from slipping. So I went against my greater judgement and since I was out and about I decided to stop at Walmart. Now I hate it there anyways, but this particular incident made me realize that I will NEVER go there again if I can at all costs avoid it! Here is what happened, I go into Walmart, American Fork walmart to be exact and go find my hangers, rubber stuff and on the way stop in the floral area and pick up some arrangements to put above my cupboards for decoration. I had a total of 5 things in my cart. 2 sets of hangers, the rubber thing, and 2 arrangements. It was the middle of the day and to my surprise the 20 items or less lane only had 1 person waiting in line so happily I got in line thinking it was my lucky day. The lady in front of me had 2 young boys, probably between 6 and 10 somewhere who were running out of control wild and she was yelling at them to "go get Grandma". Ok annoying, but whatev. Secondly, she probably had like 30 items in her cart. A little more annoying, but, it happens so the saint I was just decided to be patient. Ok so the checker starts checking all her items, he gets them through and gives her the price. She then proceeds to pull out a wad of crumpled up coupons and throws them at him and says "here". He then had to straighten the coupons, pull out all the items and put in the coupon code if they had a coupon for them. While he is doing this he was checking the coupon to see if it was expired or whatnot. Well one of the coupons (for 50 cents off) was way expired so he told her he couldn't accept that coupon, also another one had the expiration torn off so he couldn't accept that one either. She starts digging around for scraps of coupons to find the expiration for the torn one. But she couldn't find it after about 5 minutes of digging through her stuff. So she gets really pissed off, starts throwing a fit and fighting with the checker and says "fine, I don't want those things at all!" so the checker then pulls out all her bags, digs through them and starts taking off the few items she didn't get her freakin 50 cents off. By this time it had been about 20 minutes in line and the line behind me had grown drastically and I could tell I wasn't the only pissed off one. At this time, just when we think we are nearing the end here comes the ladies two sons with none other than Grandma. And poor helpless mean grandma doesn't want to wait in line with her 30 items and asks her to just add them to her daughters stuff. So the checker hurries and checks her items and then grandma has to turn around and pull out her wrinkled wad of coupons! AAUGH! Are you kidding me!? So the checker then begins the fiasco of unwrinkling the coupons, double checking the items and expiration and finally coming up with a grand total! Then the best part, he gives the price and the lady pulls out a disgusting, dirty ziplock sandwich baggy with crumpled papers in there, a few hair bands and her credit card and pays for it! 30 minutes have gone by in this stupid line, there is a stack of items that the lady and her mom didn't want from the stupid expired coupons and I pull up, pay for my 5 items and am out of there within 10 seconds. Ok so maybe by going to that aweful walmart I may have save what 30 cents, 50 cents, maybe a dollar or two, but I don't care! An hour at walmart for what should have been a 10 minute trip is not worth my time or energy! If I had a list of things that MUST go, at the top would be Wallyworld and the shoppers that will throw a fit over 50 cents off their box of granola!
