Allergies
I took Owen to the allergist yesterday to have him re-tested for his allergies. Poor kid can sense a doctor and he was quite upset the entire time we were there. In fact, he won't even go on those tables or chairs with the white wrapping at all. I have to hold him or he has a fit. It was so sad, he got poked in the back 5 times with different allergens including eggs and peanuts (his allergies). The peanut poke swelled up to a ridiculous sized mound in a matter of seconds so there is no denying that he is severely allergic to peanuts still. The egg swelled a tiny bit but it was so miniscule that the doctor said it would almost be considered negative but they wanted to test his blood. Yep, he got the needle in the arm and I had to hold his arms down while he was wiggling and screaming and 2 nurses were trying to draw the blood. Unfortunately since he is so young and doesn't understand that holding still makes it go quicker he fought them and the blood kept stopping so the nurse had to keep wiggling the needle in his vein and it took about 10 times longer than it should have. I felt so sad! On the plus side, if the test comes back looking good than we can try to feed him scrambled eggs and test out the egg products more. I am crossing my fingers that everything goes ok because the doctor was telling me that 75% of people with egg allergies are fine with them baked into baked goods. But eating like scrambled eggs or french toast is a different story. Knock on wood!
Unfortunately, like I said, the peanut allergy is severe! He will probably forever have to stay away from nuts in general. We have to go get new Epi Pens for him. He isn't necessarily allergic to any other nut but the doctor was saying that even if you just buy like almonds, almost 99% of the time there are peanuts mixed in and peanut traces on them. He said unless you actually go pick the nut off the tree yourself, don't trust any nuts! Isn't that nuts? haha. So, looks like we will pretty much be a nut free family, which is fine by me. I can't stand nuts baked into anything anyways so not much of a loss for me.

Pill Cocktail

I think I am turning into a giant pill! Seriously, I feel like one of those crazy people that thinks they have every disease and therefore take a hundred pills a day. I am pretty much there. In fact, recently I counted that I take....13 pills a day! 13! That sounds ridiculously unhealthy. But I must point out that 5 are due to pregnancy and 6 are due to a sinus infection and I should be able to stop those next week.
I am in the final stage of pregnancy and man I could not be more excited! I happily took my glucose test and got my blood drawn because that means I am in my 3rd trimester. Luckily I am not diabetic but I am way low on iron (I was with Owen as well). So that added on another pill, the dreaded sicky iron pill. It is green and stinky and makes me sick if I don't take it on a full stomach.
The next day I started my iron pill I went to the doctor because I have been sick for 2 weeks and not getting better. My head and sinuses were pounding and I couldn't breath. Lucky me had a severe sinus infection and so I have been on antibiotics and my head still wants to explode when I bend over slightly. Let's hope it gets better because toddlers and sick mommies don't mix.
I am almost 30 weeks pregnant now! Hopefully only 10 more weeks to go, and hopefully I don't turn into a giant pill before then.

Happy Birthday Owen and Tate
My good friend Jill and I do everything together! We even have babies at the same time! ha! Anyways, Owen and her son Tate were born 9 days apart so we like to have a combined party for them. This year we took them to Chuck E Cheese and boy did we have a good time! I was too busy chatting with my friends and Owen and Tate were too busy running wild having the time of their lives that I didn't get any pictures other than them blowing out the candles. They sure are cute and the best of friends! I don't know why I look so pasty and weird, must be pregnancy and the fact I didn't do my hair so just don't mind me. And yes, Jill is pregnant as well and we are due 9 days apart again! So exciting!

Birthday party
On Friday we decided to take Owen bowling for his birthday since he was feeling better. We invited our parents and my siblings but Lee's parents couldn't come down so they came down Saturday instead. Anyways, it was an army themed birthday so he had army color balloons and I made a cake that had an army scene and we had army party hats and bags and it was a good time. Owen didn't really care all that much for bowling so he spent most the time in the arcade looking at the lights. haha. After we went to my parents for pizza and cake.
Owen and Keaton and Cambry got a lane that had guards and the rail to help them push their ball. Owen loves to play with his cousins!
On Monday we are doing the "friend" birthday party with Tate. They were born 9 days apart so we like to combine their friend party since they love to play with each other. I will post those pictures later. What a spoiled little boy! We love him!

The saddest thing ever!
Poor Owen has been horribly sick! He has had a fever since Saturday night and on his actual birthday (yesterday, Tuesday) it got over 102! I took him to the dr that day and he had a cough, runny nose, fever, ear infection and a blister on his eardrum! Then today, when we woke up, his infection spread into his eye so his eye was puffed shut and leaking all day. It was so sad to see and I just started crying for him! Did I mention that I definitely have pregnancy hormones? Anyways, all day he kept saying "owie" and crying and just wanting to be held every second. We started him on antibiotics last night so he should start feeling better soon I just wish so badly that I could take away his pain and carry it for him. It is so sad to see such a sweet, innocent, loving child in agony. I think I cried almost as much as him out of sadness and wishing I could do more. By the end of today, his eye was about halfway open so I took a picture of him. What a terrible way to spend your 2nd birthday! Here he is. Please keep him in your prayers!
