Fairview

My parents bought some property up Fairview Canyon. (It is down by good ole Ephraim. Go SNOW!) Anyways, they are wanting to put a cabin on it, maybe not for a few years, but at least we have some beautiful property to go camping! It is so gorgeous up there! We went up just for Saturday and were going to stay the night, but with Owen being tired and grumpy, we decided to drive back that night. There are a few lakes you can fish around and it is just so pretty up there!
Owen was getting pretty upset because he just wanted to go swimming. What can I say, the boy loves water! My mom was trying to get him to walk on the plank, but he just kept trying to get in the water.
I didn't get many pics because it was pretty rainy and I forgot about it but here is Lee doing some fishing with Keaton and Cambry.
And just because he is too cute, here is Owen being the cute child he is!

I need opinions!!

Ok so as promised, here are some pics of our floor now that most everything is back in order. We still have to put the quarter round up but that is it! YAY! However, I need some help. I bought this rug to go in our living room and I don't know how I feel about it. I think it is super cute, but I don't know if it "goes". Also, I don't know if it is too big. I wanted a big one so Owen could still play on it, but I don't know if it looks silly. I am not the best in interior decorating so I don't know...please help. I kept my receipt just in case I need to take it back. So let me know, do you like the rug or no? Too big or just right? Any other thoughts or opinions? I won't be offended if you don't like it, just let me know and why. Ok so here it is from both sides of the living room, also, if I do keep it, I will get some pillows that match for our couches. Don't mind Owen's toys everywhere!

Past month update!!

Time to update. Sorry so long, we have been super busy! So without further ado, here ya go...
First of all, we ripped out our nasty carpet and replaced it with pergo flooring! It looks so good! Here we are before (ripping out carpet) and after! I still need to take a picture with all our furniture and now that the floor has been cleaned, I will have to do that soon.

Next up is the 4th O' July! We had some friends over and just had fireworks. Owen loved the fireworks! He was such a big boy and wanted to go light a firework so we finally gave him a firework to play with and he would walk around and then set it down and pretend to light it. It was so cute, I just love him!Next up, I went on the cutest little hike with Owen, my mom, my sister and her two kids. We had a blast. It was a really short easy hike (Owen walked most of it) and it goes up to this little waterfall. The water isn't deep so you can walk around in it. We had so much fun playing around. Owen started out fully dressed, but by the time we left he was down to his diaper because he kept getting wet.

My mom and I also took Owen and Keaton and Cambry to this place called Liberty Land. It is here in Lehi and just has little rides. They had so much fun. Owen went on his first real ride. Him and Keaton shared an airplane ride! The picture of the blue airplane is the actual plane they were riding in, I just couldn't get a picture of them because it was too high and spinning too fast. He loved it!

We also went swimming! We went with some of our friends to Lindon Pool. It is seriously the funnest pool ever! So much play stuff for little kids! Owen had another first! This is crazy but true! Okay so Owen loves loves slides! And Owen loves loves swimming! And Owen is fearless! So they have this big yellow waterslide and the entire time we were there Owen kept pointing to it and whining. He wanted to go on it so bad! So finally I see a Dad with a daughter around Owen's age walking towards it so we asked the lifeguard if we could take Owen and he said as long as one of us held him and he had a life jacket on then yea. So up we go. Owen went down his FIRST waterslide! Age: 16 months!! hahaha! And he loved it! So here he is after the waterslide. Owen is just happy to have a sucker! Family Reunion in Wendell

Okay, seriously, time to catch up. I find it hard to blog in summer when we are busy. First of all, we had a family reunion up in Idaho a few weeks ago. We didn't do much because it rained the whole time but it was fun to see Lee's side of the family. We don't see them nearly enough. Lee did take Owen on a 4 wheeler ride and Owen loved it. What a big boy he is becoming. It makes my heart sad and happy to see him grow. I am amazed at all the things he is doing and becoming as he turns into my little boy and not my little baby. Sometimes, I ache for him when he was a little baby but then I remember sleepless nights and the ache diminishes.
At the family reunion, they have an auction and people bring either stuff they made or just whatever to auction off and that money goes into a big family account to help pay for the next years reunion. I made some really cute watches and aprons. It is always a good time as the auctioneer is Lee's uncle Jimmy Joe. Yes, that is his real name. He is a dairy farmer in Idaho and probably one of the funniest, rednecks alive. Here are a few aprons I sold.
Owen of course loves to go to Aunt Marians because they have such a great yard to go play in and so many animals. Here he is with Andie and having fun with the dog and one of the many cats. Luckily this cat is probably the nicest cat I have ever come across and is just so happy and lets Owen pet her and tug her and she doesn't even wince.
I love the dog slurping Owen's cheek. Of course he loved it! We always have a good time when we go up to Idaho.

Play

I think when Owen was sent to this world, God accidentally pushed "Fast-Forward" instead of "Play".

Haircut

I took Owen in to Cookie Cutters to get his hair cut finally! We had tried to cut it earlier but we couldn't finish it because he was so wiggly and wanted to look at the clippers so I decided to take him to a salon. It is such a great idea for kids! They had a little car that Owen sat in and buckled so he could play with the steering wheel and honk the horn . They also had little aprons that are perfect for toddlers. They also have a TV that you can put on a movie to try to distract them. Of course Owen wouldn't even look at the TV but he did pretty good. He sat pretty still. The guy that cut it did such a good job too! I couldn't be happier! He looks so cute! When I was taking his picture he was laughing and smiling so big because he thought the flash was funny so luckily he is smiling really big for the camera and you can see his many teeth!

Update on Britney

Well Brit's hair finally started to go. She woke up last Saturday with it falling out. She said it just kept coming out and itching her so on Sunday they decided to shave it all off. The doctors and nurses suggest to all the patients that they shave it before it all comes out on its own because it can get itchy and get everywhere and it puts you in control of the situation. Rather than letting your hair loss control you. Of course, Britney being strong and smart, took control and shaved it. Keeping up with her spirits, she shaved a skullet before doing the rest. When she called me on Sunday I asked how she was and she said she was " I am fuzzy wuzzy was a bear, fuzzy wuzzy had no hair". Haha! Oh how I love you and your sense of humor! Keep us laughing from crying right? Anyways, she truly looks great with no hair! Here are before, during (skullet) and after!
