Here are some pics of my side of the family that we had taken last fall, they are the most recent pics I have of all of us together. I love my family and am so thankful for them! Lee had grown out his hair and goatee so he looks a little different than he does now but he is still my love and I still think he is so cute! Anyways enjoy my family...Adria, these pics are for you!
First up is Cheryl my little sister. She is going to Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. She ran to be a senator (I think?) and she got it so next year she has half tuition paid! Lucky! She is so cute and funny and has the funniest craziest stories and pictures of all time.
Here is my brother Kyle, also my younger sibling. He is a cutie! He is going to school at Utah State in Logan. We really miss living up there and being close to him! He came over almost every sunday and had dinner with him. He is playing Lacrosse for Utah State and probably being chased by all the ladies!
Here is my older sister Celeste with her family. Ron, her hubby and her two kids Keaton and Cambry. They are the cutest kids ever and they love their cousin "baby Owen". Although I am not too sure he is much of a baby anymore! I can't believe how much I can love nieces and nephews. They are like my children I love them so much!
My mom and dad with their grandkids. I LOVE this picture because Owen is so happy and smiling so big!
Finally our group pic, this one actually isn't my favorite one of all of us but with the lighting its the one you can see us the best. I love my family!

Idaho
We went up to Idaho this past weekend to see Lee's family. His sister Shanna lives out in Virginia so we don't see her very often and she hasn't even seen Owen yet so she came to Idaho for a work conference so we were able to go see her and have her meet her nephew! It was a lot of fun but VERY exhausting! Oh man, it is so so so hard to take Owen places. At home we have our house baby proofed but everywhere else he is just so curious and active and I have to be on extra guard all the time and it is exhausting! Anyways, his sister lives on a farm so it was fun because there were lots of things for Owen to explore. He loved the kitties so much! Here are some pictures... First of all, Shanna and Owen
These are Lee's gorgeous sisters Shanna and Marian. I hope our kids get the Jacobs gene!
Owen with his cousin Andie
If you look real close you can see Owen in that big tractor in the first pic! He wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. He was a little leary after he got out so I had to hold him for a picture. Don't mind my hair or clothes, I had just woken up and still in my jammies.
Here are the Jacobs siblings! There was this cute old broken down tractor that we wanted to get some cute pictures of Owen on but I think the big wheels terrified him for some reason. Of course I am mean and love crying pictures, I think they are hilarious so here are some for good measure.
Don't worry, he didn't suffer long, just a few snaps and we were outta there. It was a lot of fun to go up there as always and I am excited for the family reunion coming up!

Easter
Easter was so fun! I love having a child at the Holidays. Everything is SO much funner with kids! Anyways, I know the Easter bunny loves to be tricky and hide Easter baskets (at least in our house), but luckily, he (or she) is smart enough to know that Owen is too little to find it hidden so he made a trail of eggs leading to the couch where Owen's basket was. He also got Lee and I little something something too! The outfit actually came from Grandma Jacobs but it was just too cute to pass up, so it was put out and used as his easter outfit.
After church we went over to my parents for an Easter dinner and Easter Egg hunt. It was a lot of fun even though Owen really didn't understand what the heck was going on! He is just too cute for words and I want to gobble him right up! Daddy was so nice and helped Owen out even though he was happy just to be walking around outside.

Wicked

Yessiree, I went to Wicked the musical yesterday! Can I just say it was the BEST! I absolutely LOVED it! Lee's mom bought us tickets so I went with her and Marian and Andie! We also had the best seats in the house. We were smack dab in the middle in the FRONT ROW of the balcony so there was just stage! I honestly think we had better seats than people on the bottom because the balcony came so far forward so there we were. It was awesome! I loved Glinda, she was so funny! I am so thankful I got to go and I loved it! Thanks for the tickets Cindy and Thanks for watching Owen Celeste! I am so grateful!
Also I get to teach an awesome hip hop class now! I was teaching Step on Wednesday nights and for like 8 months the numbers have just stayed low so I decided to switch it up and do a hip hop class instead. It is so Rockin! Seriously, I love it! I had taught it to my mom's class when I subbed Friday and had so much fun then this Wednesday I did my first full hip hop class and the ladies loved it. I had quite a few people come and everyone seemed to have fun! I totally wore a sideways hat and everything and got all into it. We had a good time and I am excited for this class! I now am teaching aerobics 3 times a week. Tuesdays Turbokick (kickboxing) Wednesdays Hip Hop and Saturdays Toning. I love teaching aerobics, I think it is so fun! It is nice to stay at home with Owen, but I also love the fact that I still get out 3 times a week and do my own thing and get a small break. I am so thankful for Lee for watching Owen. He is such a good husband and father and I am so thankful for him! I love you Lee Lee!
Finally, my sister took some pictures of Owen and I love them! He is just so cute! He loves to stick out his lips like a duck and make faces to be funny. He was being so funny during the pictures and they turned out so cute! Here are a few that I love!

A little of this, and a little of that.
Yesterday we took Owen to the zoo. Owen absolutely loves animals. He ALWAYS picks out animal books and laughs really hard when he sees the kitties (he must have inherited that from Lee). Lee's parents took us to the zoo with Owen and it was a blast. I am a real dummy and forgot my camera and am way mad. He was such a good boy. He loves it outside and he didn't take a second nap and didn't fuss once. He just ran from room to room, exhibit to exhibit. The only problem was that if the animal wasn't way close or moving, he didn't notice. He also seemed to enjoy watching running water than the animals. But at least he loved it. He rode on the carousel and the train and absolutely loved it. I love having a child because you can just see the joy and happiness in them in everything they see and do. I feel like I get to have a second childhood because all of a sudden, everything is fun again. Only I am the giver which I think makes it even funner. But don't tell Owen that :). Anyways, zoo, fun!
Today wasn't so fun. Why is my child the ONLY child that won't stay by Lee or I during church? Why does he just run away and not look back? I really honestly think I could drop him off and pick him up later and he wouldn't even notice. He just run and plays and won't sit still. It is quite frustrating. Even the other kids that are around his age sit by their parents. Owen has no fear and runs away. I try to bring books and toys but he won't have any of it. The other parents look at me as I run back and forth and back and forth probably thinking "why don't you control your child?" But it's not like I can restrain him. I tried to hold him for a while in the back and guess what? He screamed and screamed until I put him down or took him out. In fact, all he does is scream. When he doesn't get his way. I think he is in his terrible two's...only he started a year early. The only time he is happy is when he is outside or away from home. So church, not so fun.
Then we get home. We decided to make pancakes for dinner. (I know lovely sunday meal right?) Owen has learned to stand on his tiptoes and open drawers and pull out things from in them and on the counter. He pulled down a brand new bottle of maple syrup and it broke and our floor was covered in the sticky mess. On top of it, we don't have paper towels so we had to clean it up with a rag. Took about 20 minutes. Then after dinner, we are sitting there and Owen had something gross on his hands. Look over, there is dog throwup and you guessed it, Owen smeared it around. So clean up that mess. I swear as soon as I got done doing that I opened the fridge to pull out grapes. Owen loves the fridge, he has a little obsession with opening it and the freezer. So we are sitting there and Owen is being quiet in the kitchen. Oh no. Here he comes from behind the island with fistfulls of rice. I had some in a tupperware and he must have pulled it out when I opened the fridge. So of course he runs to us, rice in hands, shoves it in his mouth and spits it back out. Hundreds of little pieces of rice go all over our carpet. So Lee and I are cleaning that up and he runs in the kitchen and is feeding himself and Feebee the rice that was all over the floor in there. Lovely. All of this within an hour of each other.
I do want to say though, that I love Owen. I love being a mom. There are some sticky, messy and unconvenient messes that come up but no matter what I love that little boy to pieces. I wouldn't trade staying at home with him for anything. I am so amazed at the love we have when we have children. You truly never know how much your parents love you until you have a little child of your own.
Although...I am thankful that he is in bed now and I get a break.
Until tomorrow morning at 7!

I should probably explain the main picture up above. Owen's eating habits have, well, gotten worse. He absolutely HATES his high chair. He screams when we try to buckle him in it. He wants to get up and see the world. If the camera came lower you would find this...Or this...
or even this...
So while he eats I have to sit there right next to him and hold him. I could try strapping him in, but like I said, he just screams and gets angry and refuses to eat period. Lee was sitting right next to him so I could take pictures.
Lately, he will just throw all his food on the ground. It doesn't matter if it is food he likes, he picks it up, looks at me, and throws it on the ground really hard. I swear he only eats like 10 bites a day. So then I will pick up food, and put it in his mouth and he will just spit it out. It is a miracle when I can find food that he will eat pretty good. This has just been in the past few weeks that he has been doing this with his food. On top of this, he is hardly drinking any of his bottle. At nap or bed time he will just sip for a minute. Get in an ounce or two then be done. I know he is slowing down his growth now that he is a year but still, feeding time can get pretty frustrating. Luckily at the feeding above he liked the ravioli! At least he looks cute while doing it!
